F.A.Q

Below are some frequently asked questions. If you don't find the info you're looking for here please shoot us an e-mail and we'll get your questions answered ASAP!

What equipment do I need? For this training plan you’ll need standard strength and conditioning gym equipment. We’ve built the program to include the basics that should be able to be found in any Commercial Gym, Function Fitness/CrossFit Gym, Private Training Studio, and this is all gear that can easily be purchased to build out a home gym. To follow this program throughout the year you’ll need access to the following…

  • Dumbbells

  • Kettlebells

  • Barbell w/Plates

  • Exercise Bands

  • Pull-up Bar

  • Squat Rack

  • Plyometric Box/Platform

  • Medicine Ball

  • Conditioning Machine (Concept 2 is our go to, Fan Bike, Stationary Bike, Run, etc.)

Are there different programs for different disciplines? No there are not. We don’t believe in the need for different programs for different riding disciplines for 99% of riders. Why, because most riders all need about 90-95% of the same stimuli and focus. Aspects that for instance are thought of as more XC specific like a large aerobic base and doing low end cardio work also greatly helps the DH rider in terms of recovery between runs, ability to sustain and ride for an entire weekend, etc. Just as aspects thought of more towards DH, explosiveness, strength training, etc. are extremely beneficial to the XC rider for when they need to get out of the saddle and attack up a punchy climb. If you’re at the point where you’re trying to be seriously competitive (or this is your job to ride bikes) in a single discipline, then there could be a need for a more specific program, but at that point you’d really be looking at a completely custom program designed for the individual for their specific strengths and weaknesses, regardless of the discipline of riding they are focused on performing in.

Who is this program for? This program is for anyone that mountain bikes and is looking to increase performance on the bike, build injury resilience through increased full body structural integrity, and develop a broad fitness and strength capacity that allows them to stay functional, healthy, and able for life.

What does the program include? The program includes weekly programming designed seasonally around the Northern Hempisphere (our hope is to also provide an accompanying program for the Southern Hemisphere down the road if there is demand). There will be both an In-Season and Off-season program based on time of the year. The program includes detailed demo AND instructional videos of every single movement used in your training. Our system also includes the ability to easily and robustly track all of your training so that you can easily look back and reference loads, times, etc. as your training history grows.

How much does it cost? The cost for the program is $19/month, billed monthly and can be canceled at anytime. You can sign-up for access that includes an initial 10 day free trial HERE.
